Was wondering if we could have more advanced features on the Poll functionality. It would be great if we could have ranking poll. People give a rank on all the options of the survey. Giving a winning opinion but also more precision on the popularity of the other options. This could be very useful for producers that are trying to understand their market and the pure fun of it for the rest of us.
As in let people vote for more than one option, with 1 as first preference, 2 as second preference, 3 as 3rd, and so on? And able to rank as many or as few as they like?
I'd support that, brilliant idea. Might be complex to code though.
I wonder if it could be done by replacing the radio buttons with checkboxes, and whichever you tick first is automatically first rank, second is rank 2, and so on? And as you tick them the rank number could be displayed next to the checkbox.
I'm sure there are plenty of code templates and examples that could be used for that .
We have so many nuances in our preferences I'm sure theres some important insight and paterns that will emerge by finding every one second and third favorite thing. The sum of it could be greater than the common #1 vote.

Yeah I appreciate the idea, but this one I feel would go past the point of diminishing returns for us, complexity-wise. The less clicks the better. With the data I already have though, I could possibly display a second place, etc.... Hmmmm

For conviviality users could select if they want a regular poll or that other option. Currently the results already shows position 1,2,3 etc but that is based on people single entry vote. The power of this polling technique is to understand what is second, third best for the mass. I think the return could be bigger than we think for the producers. Theres surely a way to keep the feature simple enough to keep the dev effort as low as possible.
