Out oif curiosity, what would be the advantage of that, over the existing website now it's been updated to work well on phones as well as computer screens? Personally I'm happy with the website, unless there's something I'm overlooking?

Honestly? Tons. Messaging, hangout, and other features on a single app would definitely have its uses. Using hangout without having to request a desktop site on your phone. Also it would be nice to have the ability to use our own emojis without the barrier of the forum's formatting. Push notifications vs getting dinged by email is a plus. The list goes on.
That being said, Google might be more lax but I know Apple might be difficult to circumvent the approval stage simply because the content on here is 18+

It used to have an app
Not a bad ideal only issue is the App Store has a few rules in which a site also like onlyfans dosnt have an app
Problem with apps is they require constant maintenance. Both Droid and iOS push constant updates and if one maintenance cycle is missed, the app will either be sluggish, certain features won't load or it will just fail to work alltogether. OF probably either got pinched by Apple for the content it hosts or they realized that the costs of running an app isn't worth the return it would see.

Apple would be happy taking 30% cut of all Tips and Subscriptions from OnlyFans if they allowed the adult content. If anything, that is why OnlyFans does not try and push for making an app. That is the same reason why UMD should not have an app. Apple forces you to use their in-app-payment for digital purchases or subscriptions. So the app would either not contain the scenes store, or things would get a lot more expense here to make up for the 30% cut. This is what caused the controversy between Apple and Spotify.

I would be annoyed if there were some features only available on the app and some features only available on the website.
I would be concerned that a umd app would have data that is separated from the main website and would split the users here into people that use the app and people that use the website. Like if people on the app don't see what is on the website forum, and people on the website forum don't see what is on the app.
I would just rather use other apps for social features which umd does not have. The umd app would be a huge technical effort and would likely not meet up with expectations in terms of features that other apps have.
This website is very good, has a good blend of social features and commercial features, and the features work well enough to get the job done. I really like the site design. For context, I don't use it on mobile so I don't really have the desire for a better mobile experience.

Not sure what hangout is, something related to the chat functions?
The thing is though, there isn't a team of corporate developers, UMD is all MM's own work, on his own. Truly, "last of the independent websites". If he had to develop and maintain an app on top of developing and maintaining the site...
And the site does work very well on phones these days, though I know it didn't always do so. The revcent changes, in particular the Hamburger Menu, make a big difference.
An app might work well for WAM Games. That forum group has a ton of posts and replies. I can hardly tell what is going on there. Game functions could be integrated into the app. Some games could have scoreboards. There are so many social functions which it could incorporate. Of course the app could not host adult content. It makes me wonder if anyone has tried making a wam game app. I am actually working on a game, but I am making it a web app.

Right, the idea is to have one responsive website do it all. I'm only one person and don't have the time / can't afford a staff to write apps for all the platforms and devices out there. Not that an adult app would be approved anyway....

I believe all of that can be done on a regular browser window, app not needed. I just have to get to it. The ultimate goal is to have something like Twitch for wam, where we can just have live sessions and chat whenever we want. But the bandwidth and CPU for that would be

Yep, I do everything from making the icons to hacking the code together The mobile sizes are still a bit hackey, but I'm working on that every single day. Progress is slow moving but my goal is to have a better site for you today than was here yesterday.

I've been trying to work fun stuff into the Wam Games forum forever, but I can't get much traction on that. For example that damn spinning wheel image that yall keep posting I'd rather have a built-in forum function for choosing random numbers on a post, or for choosing winners, or for letting the thread OP set the rules of the thread or whatever. Tons we could do, but nothing to do with an app. Hit me with your ideas everybody
